10 Reasons Why 2021 Is Going to Be Your Best Year Yet
2020 is finally over. (Thank goodness, right?) Is it just me, or did it feel like it went by SUPER fast and crazy slow at the same time?
I’m sure none of us had ANY idea what this year had in store
Whether you’ve still been lucky enough to have an amazing year or 2020 was a period of time you’d rather forget, things are looking up.
With the right attitude and a bit of luck, 2021 is going to be one for the books. (In a good way this time!)
Sure, we’re heading into it with a lot of the challenges that made 2020 so… well, memorable.
But you’re stronger now. You’ve proved you and your business can make it through anything.
And even though it might feel otherwise, COVID’s not gonna last forever. This time next year, the craziness just might feel like a distant memory.
Get ready to get HYPED, because we’re here to tell you 2021 is going to be your best year yet.
(That’s right, not just a good year… your BEST!)
Here are 10 reasons why 2021 is going to be your best year yet.
1. You’ve grown a lot this year
There’s no growth in the comfort zone, and there’s no comfort in the growth zone. And I don’t care who you are – there’s NO way you spent this entire year in your comfort zone. Use the things you learned this year (especially the things you learned the hard way) to make 2020 amazing, and it will be.
2. We’ve ALL been through a lot
As lonely as this year may have felt for you, it’s been incredibly inspiring to see how humanity has banded together to support one another. We’re all going through a lot of the same challenges, and it’s brought us together in a unique way. From supporting small businesses to using creativity to solve brand new problems, 2020 showcased a lot of the best things about humanity (along with some of the not-so-good.) 2021 is a year to leave some of those challenges behind and still keep the good parts.
3. There’s reason for hope
Things are looking up. With vaccines already being distributed and many countries around the world already lifting many social distancing restrictions, all signs point to 2021 looking different from 2020. (And until that does happen, at least those changes won’t throw us for as much of a loop as they did this year.)
4. Online shopping is still on the up
Ecommerce sales have sparked by nearly 40% in the wake of COVID-19. That’s right – the online sales pie has only gotten BIGGER. People are still spending just as much as ever, they’re just doing it online instead of in person. So if you already have an online boutique, you have a lot of interested customers to look forward to. If you haven’t been leveraging the online side of your business much yet, now’s a great time to get in on the action.
5. There’s never been a better time to start a business
With COVID-19, you might think that the creation of small businesses has slowed down along with everything else. But new business applications are actually rising at the fastest rate since 2007, with 3.2 million people filing for a business application in 2020 up from 2.7 million from the same point of 2019. Our new environment has created all kinds of new opportunities. It’s not insane to start a business in the middle of a pandemic – in fact, a lot of today’s most successful businesses started during recessions or other crises.
6. All the movies are gonna come out
Okay, this one isn’t exactly groundbreaking or all that relevant – but there were A LOT of release dates pushed back, okay? And think of how much more we’ll cherish “normal” things like going to see a new movie in theatres or experiencing a live concert.
7. Consumption of online content is higher than ever
Global online content has DOUBLED over the course of 2020. That’s right – daily time spent consuming content has doubled globally. That means there’s literally never been a better time to create content for the world to consume! Use social media, YouTube, and TikTok to find your audience. They’re out there looking for you!
8. You’ve spent more time honing in on your unique gifts
COVID may have taken a lot of things away, but there’s one thing it gave us – time. No more commuting, more time at home, less time out and about. Hopefully, this gift of time has allowed you to learn more about what you’re great at and what you’re passionate about. Channel those things into your business and keep doing the things you love.
9. You’ve got the tools & the support you need
So many people are in the same boat as you, and so many companies and solutions have come to the rescue. It may be a difficult time, but the world has adapted in a big way. It’s still possible to succeed even in a less-than-ideal environment – that’s what you were made for.
10. ...Why NOT?!
Why SHOULDN’T 2021 be your best year yet? Life’s what you make it. If you want next year to be a year of success, fulfillment, and happiness, you can make that happen. And why wouldn’t you want it to be that way? Commit now to do whatever it takes to make that happen. Set big goals and dream even bigger. Imagine where you’d like to be on December 31, 2021, and work toward that.
